About this talk

Quantum computing stands at the forefront of the next technological revolution, offering promises to solve problems beyond the reach of classical computers. This workshop aims to demystify the complex world of quantum computing, making it accessible to a broad audience, including students, professionals, and enthusiasts with varying levels of expertise in physics and computer science. We begin with a gentle introduction to the fundamental principles of quantum computing and key concepts such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum gates. Moving beyond theory, the focus will shift to practical aspects with an introduction to Qibo, a new open-source framework designed for quantum simulation and experimentation. Qibo provides an intuitive platform for implementing quantum algorithms, making it an ideal tool for both beginners and experienced researchers. The highlight of the talk will be live demonstrations using Qibo. These demos will showcase how to set up a quantum environment, create simple quantum circuits, and run basic quantum algorithms.
